Atitool

I know your problem, i had the same issue, your primary X700 card is not selected, that's why.

Click on Settings, Under Overclocking, make sure Use Device is PCI-E Device 0x5653 Buis:1 Dev:0

Et Voila !!

Let me know what's the maximum core/mem it report after scanning.

Thanks

Updated Benchmarks

Here's my benchmarks. I ordered it today and expect it Friday. The FedEx truck is going 65 mph. Not sure about the Bus speed or whether it has Video or Audio. Hope it doesn't get in accident (Ram). I have no comments on Inputs or Outputs.

Benchmark Update: Methinks the "truck" is moving at 560 mph at 30,000 feet. Audio in armrest. Video in headrest.

Update: Good Winstone. It was on the left coast. Now on the right coast. Truck must be flying.

Isn't anyone happy for me?

Where did you order it from?

Bought it from Buy.com. I have done a lot of business with them over the years and I've always been happy. Placed the order at about 3pm yesterday (Wednesday) and it was picked up that night. They showed it as out of stock but they actually had a few left. They have an affiliation with another site called Yub.com ("Buy" backwards) that gives you 3% back. Good deal. I then went on line and I found the Acer two year Extension Warranty and the Acer three year accidental damage (Total Notebook) warranty for $160 delivered. Securemart.com. Done deal. Everything should be here Friday or Monday. Now looking for extral power supply and battery. Also ordered some software for timely delivery!

A lot of Ferrari 4005WLMi benchmarks here : http://www6.tomshardware.com/mobile/...ml#3dmark_2005

The comparison with the Dell Inspiron XPS gen2 may not give the best impression of the Ferrari (Power hungry (L/G)amers might confuse themselves)

Someone please make a dual-core A64mobile with a 7800go... I'd buy it and the ice packs you would need for your thighs and wrists while using it.
If I didn't mind the extra size of a 17' monitor and and an ekstra kilo (also an extra $k) I would take the XPS gen2 over the ferrari any day. But if you're like me and want a small laptop that can be brought on a train, then the fact that the x700 does so well against the 6800go proves that Acer has made a good lappy.

The xps2 is not a Notebook, is a piece of concrete. with the best video card.
If you want to waste money only for gaming...is the best choice.

WORD!!!

Ferrari is the fastest PORTABLE (~6lbs 15.4") gaming machine you can get right now as we have seen all the reviews and comparisons, everything stock. Anything bigger or heavier is pure DTR, just someting for bring from place to place easier than a desktop...

mmarmouz, is that score with overclocking? If so, what speeds? The same overclock that you did in your previous post or what?

My system settings. (Ferrari 4005) pi 2M 1m44s

Hi Redmumba,

Well here is what i've done.. I am getting also a better score in super pi, 2M having 1m44s

For the video card, i installed calsys drivers after the patch found in DriverHeaven.net, and overclocked with atitray 400/360 i beleive, installed 2x512 Kingston DDR400 .. And used systool to overclock the memory from 166mhz to 200 mhz, i am getting a way better score with super pi, ferrari 4005 stock score is around 1m50 1m51 .. and with the ddr400 and the memory overclocked to 200 mhz, i am way too happy.

Before the memory upgrade, i was getting that 3dmark score with an overclock of 410/375 .. now i am getting the same result in 3dmark05 with 400/365, and the heating is similar as stock setting, i was playing Republic Commando for around 3 hours the other day at average of 30/40 frames second everything to the max with 1280x1024 and no overheating at all.

If you have any questions .. just ask ..
