Does anyone know of a good 17" laptop cooler? I don't care if it gets loud.

Please post some links and feedback on the ones you are using.

Does anyone know if this one is good? Will it fit the iXPS?

U.N.Inspector really likes this one: PacificBreeze Laptop cooler + 2USB port - http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=92695.

I think I might grab one in a month or two, it looks pretty good and the price is right. PCToys has it for $16.95US - http://www.pctoys.com/840556058199.html

I really like the PacificBreeze Laptop cooler because it is small, cheap and does the job and on top of that it got these nice Blue Leds.

That one is sucking in the air that is being blown out on the back of the system.

And by doing so increases the airflow coming through the heatsinks. If you put more sucking power at the end it basically does the same thing that forcing it through the front would accomplish.

I wouldn't make un-educated judgement calls on a cooler without first trying it in person.

For the record, The exhaust path of the XPS does not cross the intake of the cooler.

The one you got is cool.... but I dunno, I think having one that sat on the bottom of the lappy would work a little better... but who knows...

So back to my main question does anyone know if the ones I posted above work with the XPS?

I'm using the Vantec LPC-305 LapCool2 on my XPS2 as far as cooling only 1-2 degrees lower temps than without cooler with adjustable fan on high. Cooler fans blow air up, I have not tried reverseing fans yet. It does have 4 usb ports if you need those. I think there are better coolers out there. I getting ready to try my old flat metal heat sink cooler.

Ok, is your LPC-305 worth the money, any pics?

It was worth it to me, I know 1-2 degrees isn't that much but every little bit helps & also I like the extra USB ports. The elevation from the cooler puts the xps2 at a perfect height on my desk when typing-gaming,etc. for me. I'll put a few picture together for ya in a min
here Cooler USB ports. Go here Cooler being oversized by xps2

Does the pacific breeze work with the 9300?

Thanks for the reply

Yes, the fan locations are basically the same.

Thanks 4speed, ordered the cooler and UT2004 since it was on sale for 10 bucks

I have the pacific breeze for my 9300. It works wonders. It isn't too comfortable if you have it on your lap (and are wearing shorts), but I keep it on my lap for hours at a time playing games and it does a heck of a job keeping my lap cool. It works great if you have it on a flat surface.
