Overclocking - you do not need the TEST thingy!

I figured that in RivaTuner you can disable the overclock test thingy and then overclock as high as you can.

The test fails at core speed of 374Mhz for me, but if I remove the tester, I can do 420Mhz.

Problem is that after a while everything locks up. However, there are NO artifacts.

Could that locking up be due to the BIOS limitation or more like GPU can't handle it?

It stays pretty warm (so far 60C max).

i think its the gpu that cant handle it, i would not know other reasons why games would lock up liek that.

Yeah, that usually means you need more voltage.

Darn. How is your volt-modding going BTW?

Its also weird that I NEVER get artifacts.

In my experience, artifacts are more a memory overclock side effect and GPU lockups are more related to core speed. You disabled the protection mechanism, hence you are experiencing GPU lockups - I think you can expect this.
