The Toshiba Discussion Thread

okay people i noticed that most of the other major sections have a reputation thread so i figured that we needed a rep point thread here too.....lets all exchange some rep points and get out of the single dots. we all deserve it afterall.

exchange a few here and remember to add the points to those who offer you help when you ask questions. it is how we can all show our appreciation for those who answer questions and give us the help we need when we need it.

and now i can end my little rant, but feel free to post here and hopefully we can all make sure that everyone gets some more rep points, im tired of us toshiba people always having just a single dot.

(as a sign of good sportsmanship i figure i will go hand out a whole load of points right now.)

OK, I'm new and you have lost me. "Rep points"? "Single dots"?
Sounds good but what are they?

Beneath your name there is a post counter that idnicates how many posts you have made. Nest to that is a green dot (for now). As you recieve rep points (kind of like ebay qualifications) you get more dots, hopefully green. If somebody really does not ike something you say they can give you neative points and if you accumulate too many negative points, your dots will be red and you can not give out points until you regain a positive status. If you go too far red, you can even be banned. To give rep points, just click on the check mark-x box next to report on th left side. Then select agree or disagree and leave a little message. Make sure to sign your name so the recipient can return the warm fuzzies as well. To view how many points you have go to the user control panel (click on user cp at the menu bar of the NBF website) and about halfway down under latest repurtation recieved you will see how many points you have and the comments that have been left for you.

You must have 100 posts for your rep to count for anything.
