How long?

how long do you think our gen 2's and 9300's will be up to par and be able to play the latest games? I hope at least a good 2 years. What does everyone think?

Ya thats what i was thinking, how much do you think you can get for selling it then. I have never owned a laptop so im not sure the value drop over time

ya i am buying to own, but computers are getting so good so fast thats the only reason i have worries. Maybe because this is my first nice laptop ever.

You just have to face the fact that newer and better stuff will be out soon.

That being said you also made a choice to buy one of the best laptops on the market. The XPS 2 will deliver on your current and future needs for quite some time. It's a rock solid machine that can handle the games of tommorow... like BF2. Now just sit back and relax... and wait for the FedEx truck to come to the door. It will be like Christmas in July for you!

This rocksolid machine will keep you happy and not to mention proud for a long time.
DELL will have a though job making something more classy then this second current generation XPS.

Not to mention that this baby can take up the next gen videocard.
Maybe even a gen after that as well!
Who knows!

My ex-i8200... I still think it's a nifty machine.
It's more then 2 years old.
I can still see her from time to time as I sold it to a good girlfriend of mine!
So I think when I get a new laptop years and years in the future, I won't be even able to sell this baby by that time.
This one is so pretty and smooth.

How Long?

I give it better then 2 yrs before it starts to fall behind i would say double that at least 4 yrs for the reason.They will have a couple video cards offered as a upgrade 1 or 2.Then the way games are going i dont think it will fall behind until games are designed for Duel core processors which will be 2 to 3 yrs down the road then it will be able to at least hang with them for another year or 2.
