Nothing wrong in peeling off the protective plastic film on the lid; however, it minimizes scratches on all that nice magnesium

Why is the FAQ thread locked? It seems silly to have a Frequently asked questions thread that does not let you ask questions? Here's one: What's with the plastic covering the 100000 precisions on the lid of the M70? Do you remove it? Leave it on? If you leave it on could it damage the lid? |

Hmmm... Kudos to all of you who damaged my reputation. Do you bother looking at my posts?? No. You seem to be upset because I don't like it when somebody writes opinion and tries to PREVENT all others from posting ANY comments about it. |

You can ask your question in the forum regular, and if it is asked enough it will be added to the FAQ with an answer. I have seen some forums that do not lock it and a ton of people post after "Hey, nice FAQ" and some other poeple asking questions. If they are answered then it may get lost in the clutter. And also just because it is a question doesn't mean it belongs in the FAQ. Keeping it locked keeps it organized and clean. Its easy to find what you need and it doesn't take a day and a half to wade through all the needless "Hey, nice FAQ" posts to see if there are any more questions.

Granted I'm not a moderator here (and it looks like that will never happen now), but I will tell you that I believe in open forums... NOT closed ones. To each his/her own I guess. |
