newer DVD's unable to make a backup copy??

I've been using DVDshrink to help me make backup copies of all my DVD's for over a year now without a a problem. Recently I purchased the DVD "Hitch" and DVDshrink does not re-author the DVD. On the back of the CD it says "copy protected", which I have seen on other DVD's, but was able to back them up - so I don't know if this has anything to do with not being able to shrink the DVD.. Is there any way around this problem, or are most of the new DVD's set up to not be backed up/copied now?? Or is there a better program than DVDshrink to back up these newer DVDs to my hard drive so that I can burn them later on or watch them on my laptop?? Thanks in advance.

Use the latest version of DVD Decryptor to decrypt the DVD by file. Then open the folder in DVD shrink and you should be able to re-author it because there is no protection.

Yep,
Use DVD Decrypter first.

I also recommend that you download DVD stripper v0.3.0. This will help you to remove any unwanted content such as special features, menus and such. Though you need IFOEdit and DVD Decrypter for it to work properly. Also, try and find a registered version of MenuEdit, this will allow you to remove buttons in DVD menus.

I have downloaded DVD decrypter and it is working fine so far. Thanks for the quick replies and help! If I have any problems I'll ask again in this thread. Thanks again!
