There are adaptors that the CD just pops into. I don't have a link, but one came with my Sony Camera.

mini CDs? When do you use those? I have never come across one myself...

When I bought my iRiver, it came with a mini-CD for the installation. I have a Ferrari coming on Monday, so this might be a problem.

My Vaio came with one for something. The business card size ones are popular at places like tradeshows and such.

Don't use the CD for installing your MP3 player or any other peripheral. Rather download it from the net since that is usually an updated version from the one on your CD.

Don't the slot loading drives collect dirt?

I wouldn't think any more than a tray loading drive - if anything, less. In dash car CD players are all slot load and work great. I'm sure you've seen - the little slot actually has a thin brush like strip on the top and bottom of the opening which keeps dust out.

Well, ok. Good point. It just seems that an open slot would have stuff get in it.

so wait, how do you use mini cds with it?
You can't unless you use an adaptor

I would not recommend using adaptor. It won't work with all types of mini CDs, there is a good chance that mini CD will fall out of adaptor during unload
