External.. nothing beats a Razer/X-Ray

i cant use a mouse while laying in bed... at least not that easily

well, my optical is very cheap (simple mini optical 3 button, w/ wheel, Logitech. I'm not into wasting $$$ on a mouse), but works wonderfully, even on my bed!

Option C. TRACKPOINT !!!!!! Beats both ;-)

The touchpad on my lappy is good, but.....

I currently use an external USB pointing device, Microsoft Trackball Optical.

I use this in games, for general computing, and it is great when desk/mouse space is at a premium.

External Mouse, I'm not sure which I got but it is just like a standard Logitech USB Wireless optical mouse. 2 Click buttons and a scroll wheel no lasers or 7 buttons here

Mouse for gaming or if I'm at a table where I can bust out my mouse and pad. Otherwise, touchpad.

I agree Mouse for gameing and drawing...

Touchpad or track point for mobile/on the lap.

Both but if I really really had to choose I'd choose a touchpad because it looks professional!

MacAlly Micro Bluetooth Mouse... I can use it in bed too. I just use my Johnson as a mousepad. Yeah, that's how big it is.

usb logitech mouse when sitting at desk and definitly for gaming, touchpad for internet browsing in bed or whatever

It'll always be an external mouse, but unfortunately, the reason most people get laptops is for portability... what they need is some kind of new technology. Maybe not even a mouse? How about hand controls?

ibm's trackpoint.

External Mouse, but the touchpad is nice in bed, on the plane/car and just for short quick use

1. External mouse
2. accupoint (clitoris-sized joystick as it has been referred to http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=84290)

feel the power of the clit!

I like the touchpad. I'm so used to it that I can move around pretty easily. I don't play games, but the mouse isn't that bad either. But touchpad isn't bad.
