Greetings. I am a noob at purchasing notebooks and I am seeking the assistance of the seasoned users 
I have two notebooks in mind: the HP Pavillion DV4040 and the Acer TravelMate 4652.
The HP has 1024 MB DDR 333 MHz SDRAM
The Acer has 512 MB DDR2 533 MHz SDRAM
Which of the above two forms of RAM is best?
The HP has 100 GB HDD while the Acer has 80 GB HDD. Both are 4200 rpm. I have the possibility of upgrading to a 5400 rpm on the Acer but going to 60GB. Will I really notice any difference? Is it worth the investment?
The Acer has a Digital Video Interface. When would one require such an interface?
Can one connect something like the Acer ezDock to the HP?
What has been your experience with playing DVD movies on either of these machines? This message has also been posted on the Acer/HP site.
