Best place to buy a Ferrari 4000, that has a 30 return policy

Thread Starter
I am wanting a Ferrari 4000 however buying a notebook without seeing it first is tough for me to do. Can anyone recommend an internet site that has a no questions asked 30 day (or 2 week) return policy. Does such website exist?

Thanks

Vit

Retury Policy

try thenerd.net, i think they have 15 or 30 days no question policy on Acer, and they charge 3% restocking.

Hard to believe but: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=4025850 . You will pay $150 in sales tax for the privilege. It might be worth it. I am considering it.

Has anyone here who has bought a Ferrari 4005 bought it from wal-mart? Does anyone even recomend this? Is there indeed a no questions asked return policy?

Walmart

Now that they are back in stock, I went over their return policy. No exceptions except that it's 15 days. I can live with that to determine if pixels are dead, if I like the keyboard, etc. So we pay $155 in taxes but then they offer a 3 year warranty for $150 for equipment up to $1999. (The Ferrari is $2200). Yet it's offered on the Ferrari page. (We make a call and check on it). Assuming it applies to the Ferrari, we save about $150 on the warranty. To me it looks like the best bet. Take a look and give me your take on it. As their return policy is pretty clear, give particular attention to their warranty to see if it is second class in view of the price. I don't want to live with a 7 dead pixel return right that my regular vendor is offering.

Ok guys, i called Wal-Mart.com's customer service department and a woman named Tina there was able to answer all my questions. You are correct about the return policy cmlevy, 15 days upon receiving the product no questions asked. However she conferred with an upper level representative about the "3-Year Service Plan for a Home Office Item from $750-$1999.99" and found out that it would not cover "this product" a.k.a. the ferrari because it does indeed go over $1999.99. So i guess were stuck with the acer warranty, now the only question is can we buy the acer warranty if we order it from walmart.com? Do they have to be an authorized dealer or something?

No problem with the Acer warranty. You can even shop it around at a few sites. There is a thread somewhere in the forum about this. Someone saved a few dollars off the Acer site price but no big deal. So we are left with the concept is it worth paying the $155 or so in tax so as not to deal with the possibility of dead pixels and all the other issues especially if you haven't tried out this laptop in a store. I say it's a no brainer.

i think you took the words right out of my mouth.

I also got an email response from Walmart Customer Service saying their $1999 warranty wouldn't apply to the Ferrari.

So, think your going to go with them?

I never thought i would ever be thinking about ordering a high end laptop from Wal Mart LOL.....

It is ironic but why not. Reputable company. 15 days right of return. I have never touched or seen this laptop in person. Just can stand the idea of buying it and not liking it for some unknown reason. I am real particular about a keyboard. I would feel like a real jerk being stuck with something I don't like or something new with dead pixels. I can't stand the fact that Acer laptops are particularly excluded in return policies or are considered special orders. Let people talk about me for buying it from Walmart. Better yet, I won't tell them.

Breaking news. That quote was true when written but Wal-Mart changed their policy. Now they give you a fairly complete 3 year warranty for $103.00 on laptops regardless of the laptop price. They provide postage paid box. Even covers damage from power surges and "screen degredation." Have some fun with that last quote you little pixels out there! Furthermore (and I am definitely not giving legal advice) their definition of the commencement of their warranty is after the manufacturer's warranty expires, therefore, it sounds to me what others refer to as a four year warranty -- but you look it over and decide for yourself.

I'm also looking to order the ferrari...but I'm not really up for paying sales tax. My budget is barely enough for the laptop itself! My best find so far was zipzoomfly. They jacked the price up 20 bucks a couple days ago, but its tax free and free shipping.

I've never seen the laptop either (in person), which is pretty much the only reason i haven't ordered it yet. How come the certified acer dealers in the US suck?! It was on of the biggest (#1 or 2) laptop brands when i was back in asia.

Yesterday, I ordered it from Buy.com and it shipped last night! It's in Portland right now with FedEx and supposed to be delivered across the country by tomorrow. I then bought the Acer 3 year Total warranty (2 year extension; 3 year accidental damage) at a site called Securemart.com.

so is walmart the only store with a return policy? i mean hell, why not buy it from walmart, test it out for 15 days, send it back getting a full refund, and then buy from zipzoomfly or buy.com.... unless you dont get a full refund.....
