BIOS Updates

Does anyone know if the newer BIOS updates (from A20 and up) interfere with the max. memory size? I have an Inspiron 5100 and after I installed the A22 BIOS update, my ram dropped from 1 GB to 512 MB.

(sorry if this is in the wrong section)

Not sure on that one, unleass its not compatible, and somehow disabled one of your RAM slots.......Call support and see
