My vote goes for WSXGA option, maybe the + isn't included there. But 1680x1050 would of been a real nice option!

Possibly size/weight, even though the 17" is awesome!

No Kidding Michael. Seriously, I must have read; without exaggeration; 30 polls of yours. How many have you made. Do you know?

And to answer your question. - No real complaints with above options. Mine would be: - No infrared, or incorporated mic, and no oversize enter key. Cardbus would have been nice too.

All these I don't understand, - they don't even cost.

I'd say the external of the laptop, it's big and angular. My old M675XL was a 17" P4 and was much sleeker and smoother.

I could have used a num pad, but besides that i think its perfect. Of course it would be nice if it was thinner and lighter but what do you expect for the power you get.

I have to say... it sounds silly but...

I came from a 9300 with a 9 cell battery. I bought an XPS2 last week with a 9 cell battery also. I'm noticing a whole hour less battery life on the XPS2 than I was on my 9300. Its hard to believe that the 6800U can change the battery life on my XPS2 that much from the 9300.

Not sure I understand "Lack of Firewire ports" - it's got one, doesn't it? Since most firewire devices can daisy chain, what's the problem?

Or do you mean "Lack of Firewire 800 port" ?

My biggest complain is that they didn't include a full size keyboard. The space is there but Dell cheaped out and used the same keyboard that they have used on all their other models.

I also really miss the internal mic. Some times you just have to tell that flipping moron exactly how you feel when playing CS:S!

A true media bay with options for a second battery or second hard drive would have been nice too.

I'm glad it doesn't have one. I never use the numpad and I'd rather have the main keyboard on center.
