maybe will be usefull for others too: Toshibaґs own cards have a special firmware feature for switching off the card through a non-standard way, To make the card work in a Toshiba manufactured after the year 2003, like the A10, A20, A30, P10, P20, 1130, 2430 ect. there is a modification required: a small piece of tape is put on one of the interface connector pins to prevent the notebook from switching off the card. SEE THE ATTACHED PICTURE. >>> start counting from PIN number 1 (the single on the side of the card’s socket break) and cover PIN number 7 with tape. That’s it! SIMILAR PROCEDURE WITH ACER: only compatible with ACER TRAVELMATE 240 with minor modification to the card (bit of tape on pin 13, as launch manager does not recognise the card. also works for medion sim2000. |
