After reading in the forums it looks like several 9300's have sparkles and I got the regular screen and mine looks great ... It must be luck

I was also lucky with the LG screen. I was really worried after browsing the forum.

lol, you probably all have exactly the same sparkles that all the other ones have, you just can't "see" them. Consider yourself lucky. I managed to finally see what people were talking about, after a good 10 minutes of focusing on my screen. It's really not that big of a deal, unless you let it be. I love the LG screen.

LG Screen is better than the Samsung by spec, colors are more vibrant, just an overall better screen. By the way, specialed, you do have the sparkles, just haven't noticed them, you will though.

Ain't a big deal.

I would be very willing to bet that the number of screens they are plagued by the "sparkle effect" is smaller than everyone seems to think, as humans are more inclined to voice thier opinions when they are unhappy about something. Just something to think about.

Whether LG is better on spec or not, from the 3 LG screens and 1 Samsung screen I received on 9300, I chose to keep the Samsung one as it seemed to be the best for me. Well, this could be luck too (that I got 3 bad LG screens and 1 really good Samsung screen).. I could spot the sparkles easily (they actually bug me) on the LG screens and yet the sparkles aren't noticeable at all (perhaps they would if I used a magnifier) on the Samsung screen.

BTW, I'm referring to WXGA+ screens, which is what OP has. It might be totally different for WUXGA screens.
