do the boot disk first and flash the system bios, then do the KB bios.
not to sound stupid once again.... kb bios as in winphash 1.5 and r105b.wph?
thanx! watt does kb stand for? (i know i know watt a moron!)
kb = keyboard.

1st flash the system bios to 1.00.05b (r105b.wph) by creating the boot disk.

Then, follow the directions in the very first post of this thread under the heading "Directions" to use the winflash to flash the keyboard (H8.bin)

Heyo,

Just a small update. After AW stating that the system was in perfect working order, which I didn't agree with, they now confirmed after a discussion with the mb manufacturer that there have been faulty batches of this motherboard ?! and that they will change it with a new type, conform with the orginal spec... (humm) and that it will be send out the following week. I can't wait to have it here again and observe what is going to go wrong next

thanx keisur, someone forgot to tell me that after flashing the bios it turns on the raid on!
it took me awhile to figure it out. so to anyone who gets the message during boot up at the promise hdd startup saying no array found, go to bios and change the raid to ata mode!

My 9860 idles at 54 degrees. I'd love it to idle at 41, but I'd even more love it to be quieter than it is now when idle. Will the new firmware help me?

I've got the X800 video card.
when the fan is not on full blast sure its quiet, but when it goes full blast its kinda nosiy.
i dont mind though i rather have a cool lappy while i do stuff. but the option to turn it on continously and auto is a cool feature.

Thanks to the initial poster first, for the files, they were a great help.

About the SAGER splash screen now... Well, I bought my notebook here in Greece, and I must admit I wasn't really fond of the SAGER splash screen. Instead of simply disabling it, I actually replaced it, using "Phoenix BIOS editor" (now I use my company's logo as a splash).

I will not provide any links though, rather only a hint: GOOGLE.

Thanks again for the files!

If you read his post, he tells you how to find it:

"Phoenix BIOS editor"

I will not provide any links though, rather only a hint: GOOGLE.

1 +1 = the answer!
hint: i did "google" it. phoenix site offers a dead link.
Funny that I found many with google, fourth one worked and it was the first to claim that it had the file... first 3 seemed to be forumns.

4.89MB in total...

did you search "Phoenix BIOS editor" with the qoutes as his post had?

Sorry for the late reply, I was quite busy working, formatting, and trying to find out why the heck, doesn't a device I attached to the RCA socket didn't work (I ended up using a s-video cable).

Ok people. I cannot remember my exact input string, but try this "link":
h++p://bnobtc.pix-art.com/en/index.html, you will find what you search for in the page. Also, you will need a "fix", which you can find to astalavista. Hope that helps.
Note, if you need any help changing the logo, post a message (or PM) and I might be able to help you.

Well, anyone else with successful results?
