I use the latest Intel drivers from www.intel.com, just the drivers, not the ProSet software.

Question

Does it make a difference?

I know I have both tray apps running, with Windows being "active".

I noticed one funny thing between the two though.

On a particular network the Windows app would say that signal strength was "low", but if I switched over to Intel's, it would say it was "excellent"! What's up with that?

I have the 2915 (not a Dell), but you can upgrade your drivers. They warn you that they may be different from your manufactuers, but lets be honest: they're not. Basically, the drivers Dell included are just the ones Intel released when they made the image that they put on all new computers.

Anyways, I'm started to develop mixed feelings about Intel, so it may just be that Windows "low" quality is Intel's "Excellent." Who knows?
