FYI...Just got a bad flash, error saying something about page error. I am not sure if something got corrupted, since I have successful nvflash w/ other bios. Any advices how to recover will be appreciated. Please be extra careful. Again, much thanks.

After the nvflash 540c1350.rom the pc frozen I had to cold boot. It doesn't boot up w/ the screen anymore. It doesn't appear to boot from the CD either. Since doing dir doesn't spin the CD and I tried blind type nvflash orig.rom w/ no lucks. Again, thanks.

Wait, did that flash cause the card to break?

When I am going to flash I always make sure I am set to boot off the CD first. Just incase something happens... of course a bad flash could possibly ruin the card for good.

Yes bro, it physically broke the card *sarcasm*

A bad flash can have the risk of permanentally ruining whatever you flashed.

My guess at this point is that it's causing the normal boot routine to fail. Again, thanks.

Wow man... I'm really sorry.. Give dell a call, make up some excuse and see if they will ship you a new one.

Just for CLARITY sake. I DID NOT make that high of an edited bios as a precaution. That is NOT included in the ISO I created that is available for download with the help of others here.

The highest bios I included was 525C1300.

There might be a way to flash even a corrupted card. Since you have internet access, check out some info on nvflash and 'rom strap'.

romstrap j Override the ROM strap setting to allow flashing an image when grounding the STRAP_SUB_VENDOR pin. This allows flashing a corrupted or erased EEPROM. Note: Make sure there is a physical EEPROM present when using this option

It displayed something about page error then a few secs later hang. I had to cold boot. After about 1 min, the cap lock LED response to the CAP LOCK key, so I guess it might finished POST with some errors that I can't see? Already tried disconnecting the Coin battery. Thanks.
