someone is going to inevitably ask you to use the search button. This has been talked to death. Honestly, it's very difficult to find a good fitting bag. What some think fits, others find to tight or to loose. I ordered the sumdex impactgaurd 12" because i read here that it fit like a glove and was perfect for the 700m with extended battery. Wrong. Had to squeeze it in and since it didn't quite fit the zipper rubbed against the front edge of the laptop. I returned it and ordered the roadwired skooba 12" sleeve. HOpefully that will fit better. I like to be able to toss my laptop into my arctyrx bag so a sleeve is ideal. I will post back about the skooba, but you can find many others reviews of the skooba, the sumdex, some booq bags, and many others if you do a quick search for 700m bag or 700m sleeve.

get the tom bihn monolith size 5 bag for your 700m. go look at the dimensions yourself, its basically the same size as the 700m with the extended battery. www.tombihn.com I ordered it yesterday...will be here soon
i had the same trouble as you and many others - couldnt find a case/sleeve for 700m that fits perfectly. 1/2 of the people with shinza's zeroshock says it sucks and is too tight and 1/2 of the people with viper booq xs says its too tight. the other 1/2s all says it fits perfectly. i didnt want to take the chance to return it and pay for the shipping fee. so, for me, i ended up with the tom bihn monolith size 5....you decide.

Gap Bag. It might be hard to find but it is the perfect fit. Got mine for 12 bucks from Gap but I don't think they sell it anymore. Probably can only be found on eBay maybe. Good (not perfect) protection. The handle is basically useless though, I just put the whole bag into my backpack. No dents or anything wrong with my laptop, it hasn't left the house without that bag around it.

Skooba! is #1, its a great sleeve for your backpack. Awsome protection.

I had the Booq Vyper XS - that was too small, i couldnt even zip it up.

I then exchanged that for the Booq Vyper M - that was way too big, i could fit my Dell optical mouse in there with it.

Finally I got the Roadwired APS Compact Sleeve (Small) - This is fits the 700m with the 8cell battery perfectly i've found. It slips in there easily, and i think it is neither tight nor loose, just a nice fit. It was also one of the cheapest sleeves i found here in Australia, i got it for like $40 Australian including postage before they jacked the price up. Be sure to check it out. Hope that helps...

Man, i really like the look of that sleeve over the skooba. Could you post some pics of the interior of the sleeve? The padding in the skooba is really nice. I'm curious if the padding in the APS Compact is as good. I might have to return yet ANOTHER sleeve. Heh. I'll post some pics of my skooba when it gets here on monday.

I have both the Skooba and Shinza Zeroshock Sleeve.
Both of them fits Nicely with the 8 cell battery.
I use the Skooba when I go to work or other places. cuz it can fit the ac adapter and plus an extra battery.
I use the Shinza Sleeve to go to classes. Slip it in my bag with my books.

I'm excited to see the pics of the 700m in that bag. I do find it kind of odd that you would recommend someone else to purchase it before you have any actual hands-on experience with it.

I have this bag from eBags. It fits the 700m with extended battery PERFECTLY and has enough room for the AC adapter and small accessories. It's not really a protective bag (limited padding, etc.) but for it's a great compact, lightweight and economical solution.

Yes, the dimensions look good. Personaly I don't recommend an item to anyone if I havnt' had hands on experience and am able to acurately describe the fit and finish as seen first hand. This would go for just about anything.

I got the skooba today. The 700M fits in there nicely. There is room for my v500 mouse and the power adapter along with my usb external floppy drive in the front pouch. The 700M goes in the main compartment with no squinching (<technical term) or squeezing. There is allmost a tiny bit to much room in there. I would prefer something just a tad more snug. If my choices are really really tight or just a tad to much room i'll lean towards the one with a tad to much. The feel of the sleeve is awesome. It's very well made with a very sturdy feel. The padding inside is some of the best i've seen.

I'm also really excited to see some pics of the Tom Bihn bag that uogee got (or is getting). Those bags look really really nice. I'm curious to see how the 700M fits in there. I don't think i'll be returning the skooba for anything else though. I like it quite alot!

I would post some pics but pics of skooba sleeves are a dime a dozen on these forums if you want to search for them.

I use the Kensington Contour Slim... I love the case, it doesn't kill your back. It's not very big (not like normal cases) and has tons of room for accessories, etc. The 700m fits perfect and snug.

I had the regular Kensington Contour for my 600m and it worked well, but I found the full size to be a bit too big for the 700m. I want to be as compact and light as possible while still carrying everything I need.

I'm a big fan of all the contour line.. I can carry them all day and they don't hurt any part of me.

I just received my Tucano neoprene Medium sized sleeve. highly reccommended. it fits the 700m nicely with an extended battery. it is a little loose at the battery end since the battery is smaller than the rest of the laptop. other than that it is great. i use it for school to prevent little incidents and scratches. you can purchase it on ebay or amazon. here is a picture of what it looks like
