Does graphic card matter for browsing, text etc

I am thinking of getting
HP Pavilion ze2150EA : Centrino P-M 725 1.6 GHz/512 MB/15"/80GB
I can't find any reviews online but.. whatever, I am concerned about one thing: It is equiped with IntelĀ® Extreme Graphics 2 up to 64 MB shared. Ok this isn't a card for gaming but is it enough for text/broswing/e-books purposes? My main concern/no.1 deciding factor is the display so I am really worried about this.
Does the graphic card matter for text/broswing or are all cards nowadays good enough for text/browsin/e-books? Would I notice any difference in these tasks with a better high-end graphic card?

All cards nowadays are plenty good enough for text/browsing/e-books. You wouldn't see any difference in those areas by getting a card that's better at 3D.

That computer is fine for your needs, dont bother getting more ram / faster processor or anything (although i'm sure someone's going to say you need at least a gig of ram )

Having non-dedicated graphics will actually help you get better battery life to, so as long as your happy with the aesthetics / design / battery life of that comp go for it.

you need at least a gig of ram

(sorry just said that for postal... you really dont... 512 is more than enough for normal needs)

side note... i get really angry when i walk through Best buy or Circuit city and the sales people try and sell me a computer with the latest Centrino processor... i know its the big selling point and such, but sell it as a centrino computer not processor... and even the lil info card on some laptops lists it as a centrino... kinda like this one but at least they have P-M.. ok im done ranting

You should not have a problem using that machine for browsing. If you ever felt like it was getting sluggish upgrade the ram to 1 gig.

pikaka, here are a couple of reviews for the HP Pavilion ZE2000. Should be configured pretty close to what you're getting, and they look and have the same screen, keyboard, etc.

And I agree with those above, it looks to be just what you need.

humph, I dont know. I think you need infinity bazillion jigabytes of memory. Otherwise it should be fine.

On a lighter note, it looks exactly like what you need. 512 MB should be enough ram, if you ever feel like it is a bit sluggish, a gig should fix that. Dont worry bout the gpu, for browsing it is overkill.

to be honest, xp is a resource hog so turn off the eye candy (switch to classic win2k look) and it will solve the lag problems. i switched to 1gb ram and it helped, added on about 5fps to CS:S/HL2. But since you don't game....if you run more than firefox + word + (g)aim at once...you might want to grab an upgrade
