I have been following the Asus Z70VREFRESH for some time now and it is first on my list of the laptop that I will buy for my wife.

I already have the Gateway m680 but I mainly use it as a desktop, so having the Asus would be a good buy for portability.

Cool Laptop but if i see good u have 1x1gb memory?? U know u will loose the dual-channel capability IF i see good i would upgreade for 2x512Mb (IF possible) Nevertheless - great lappy

Dual Channel DDR2 vs Single Channel DDR2 at best yield less than 5% improvement in speed.

So it is better to do 1x1GB so you will have extra slot down the line.

Congrats Artek! I'm assuming you are having them ship it out after the pricedrop and taking advantage of the free upgrade to the next processor up?

True True but if he is not considering upreade for near future i would choose the Dual-Channel (IF possible )

Late this month, Intel is dropping the price on their processors, so you will be able to get a 750 for what a 740 costs now, etc.
