I've always wondered about the smart bays on laptops. I can't seem to find info anywhere about them. Like what kind of interface are they? IDE? Are they some special kind of interface? Can you convert to them with a cable? Like would I be able to attach something externally by feeding a cable from it to the ports in the smart bay? Can we buy just an enclosure (like an enclosure for firewire, except this is for smart bay) and then put stuff in it like a hard drive or something of the sort? I wish there was somewhere to go to read this stuff, lol. Any thoughts? Thanks!
