The only laptop I know of that has illuminated keys is the 17" Apple Powerbook. The keys are laser cut and when the lights dim, white fiber optics make the letters glow. They look hella tyte, but I doubt your looking for a Mac.

i believe its either the dell or the ibm that has a led that lights the keyboard up so you can see them in the dark

The Toshiba S5XX models have the ability to have illuminated keyboard. However it might have to be special ordered because I have never seen one. I just know because I own one and it says it's possible in one of the configurations in the user's manual.

IBM no longer produces key light display instead a tiny light on the top right side of the lcd screen projects an lcd light to light up your keyboard. its quite comfortable and available on all T Series laptops which now features a Fire GL T2 128MB video card (Rad 9600 Pro)

Check out www.LaptopMods.com, they illustrate some interesting keyboard light mods. Of course, these will likely shred your warranty, but heck, wouldn't it be worth it to be uberkool?
