Hi, Iv got a laptop (FUJITSU SIEMENS AMILO A1630) and the clip on the X key is snapped. This means it alays comes off. I dont want to super glue for 2 reaosns, if i ever need support they will not want to help as I glued it and your not allowed to do that. And I dont want to risk glueing the x key down so its always pressed in as it seems hard to get glue there without it dribbing down and u have to push the key hard to clip the working side on properly.
There are two hook type clips at the top for the top two bits of plastic on the keyboard and two clip in bits at the bottom.
At the bottom of the key, on one side, the clip is broken
this results in a loose X key which is frequently coming out.
Ill Show you what I mean in a few photos
Photo of the keyboard itself:

as you can see in that there are four clips underneith the X key, these are all OKAY
Underside Of Key:

You can see the underneith of my key there. There are the four clip bits. Youll see the bottom left one where it is broken. All the others are fine.

Just incase you feel like looking at the fornt of my key Smiley
Iv had a little look in google and Im not sure what I can do. It seems that if I call the manufacturer they are only going to want to replace the full keyboard rather than just that key, the reason being as they only have full keyboards which they get from suppliers. And to do that they will want me to send the laptop to them since they have to do the work as to not void the warentee. On shopping replacement sites you can only buy full keyboards for £80 plus.
So I cant get support from fujitsu as they want me to send it back but I use my laptop a lot.
What i need is a new key.
If you have an old or redundant laptop that you might be able to take the X key out t
and post to me I will worship you. I will pay you via postal order, or paypal, the cost of postage. After recieving and fitting on my laptop I will give you a few pound extra for the heolp.
What I need is a black key, try and see my photo.
I think i saw some laptops in currys with the right key but I am not going to risk swapping with one of those, with cameras and securty peeps, even if them laptops ar enever gonna b used.
Thanks to you whoever you are that may help me, pleeeese
