Arctic Silver 5 worked great for me.

I removed my heat sink in my toshiba notebook and found some white thermal compound that wasn't covering the middle of the cpu cap. I cleaned this compound off and put a little of the Arctic silver 5 compound on the cap. Put everything back as it was, now my handrest area is cooler and fans are quieter.

Are you going to put it on the gpu?

I was thinking about it. Think it's a good idea? My warranty is about to expire, so... But if it's much more difficult than getting to the cpu cap, then I probably won't do it. I have anti-static gloves and torx/regular precision tools.

Can anyone walk me through the steps to get to the gpu please?

I don't know about the p25, but I have never seen a laptop that has a removable gpu heatsink. I believe the p25 has an access cover on the bottom to get to the CPU. I see no listing for a separate VGA card so the gpu is probably soldered onto the motherboard. If you want to look at it, you will need to split the case. I think you should leave it alone

I don't feel comfortable opening the case, so I'll take your suggestion and leave the gpu alone.
