Has anyone tried an X700 64MB VRAM notebook that can tell first hand how it performes in games? It would be very interesting to see a comparision with an X700 128MB.

So with hypermemory you get 192MB VRAM?? 128MB shared and 64MB dedicated? I thought only the X600 had it. I know with the new Gateway 7510gx you can set it to have 256MB VRAM / 128MB dedicated. Didn't know this worked with X700 or is this a X200M chipset feature?

this is supposinly an ATI feature .. but i never seen it with the x700.. soo i might be wrong..

I dont know why so many people are complaining...who cares if it's 64mb. It's the x700 for the love of god for $1,283.48 - memory does not specifically make the GPU faster. Does anyone remember last year? Radeon 9700's at 128 were running at the same speed as Radeon 9700's at 64 megabytes of gpu memory. Granted - we're now a generation ahead but it shouldn't make THAT much more of a difference. Also if I'm reading right, this thing has a Turion - a 64bit CPU.

Get with the program people - this is an awesome notebook for the price this would even beat the Z71V as the bargain notebook if it has WSXGA+....which I'm not sure if it does.

This is a bargain at $1,233. You get Turion 64, ATI X700, 100GB 5400rpm HD, DVDRW Dual Layer DVD-RAM Slot load, Windows XP Pro, 6-in-1 reader... BTW this notebook is sold with Windows XP 64-bit Pro in the UK so it is certified and ready for Windoes XP 64. I think the Ferrari 4000 and TM 4400 is the only notebooks certified and sold with Windows XP 64-bit installed (UK market). However you look at it, simply outstanding value.

Exactly what I am thinking...around 1200 - 1300? FFS. Turion, x700, 100gb, Dual layer slot load, windows xp 64 bit and 6-1 card reader? Jesus christ it's only missing the WSXGA+ for the perfect notebook.

I take back what I said about the Z71V being the bargain performance slim notebook. The Acer TM4400 is ( Minus the WSXGA+ )

That has got to be the sweetest cost/performance ratio EVER. Other than dell 9300 (17" = ew).
