1. What places can i avoid that 15% by pay'n cash
2. What places can i get financing on the Asus Z71V
I'd like to know the first answer, paying 300 dollars worth of tax seems so wrong.

I have one big question, for barebone systems, there's no manufacturer warranty...
but i can pay for dealer's warranty? how do they fix the barebone parts then? cuz they were from manufacturer. So it matters if the dealer is good or not?

guys, urgent question... is CanadaSys a good dealer or no? for warranty and stuff
post #47 of 100
This might help.
How will that help? There's no reviews or ratings listed ...

CanadaSys is a good dealer, at least from my experiences recently. I got my Z70V from 'em and had no problems. Check their forums at www.notebookforums.ca ...

Once you purchase a dealer's warrantee, the dealer purchases a warrantee from Asus for their parts (chassis, motherboard, etc.), so if you have a problem with one of the barebone parts, the dealer will replace it for you and then send in their warrantee claim to Asus. And it does matter if the dealer is good or not when you deal with how long it takes to replace units, what their shipping policy is, how helpful or accurate they'll be on what went wrong, etc.

I've heard good things about them on the forum, but I don't know a lot. Are you asking how their warrantee matches up against other resellers?
no... about what u said... the time it takes to repair and things like that. and the RAM they use on the barebones... the tech support told me they will use SyncMax or KingMax. Do you know about these brands? i'd hate to get bad RAM

I've heard of KingMax, but haven't had any experiences with them. Kingston & Corsair seem to be the big names in memory, but I don't know what kind of quality dropoff (if any) there is going from a big name to a small one. sorry!

I just ordered the Asus W3V from Advanced 2000 in alexandria, va. Got it for $1,650! I wanted something lightweight, and with the X600, and that W3V fit the bill. Was debating between w3v and the sony BX series (not available yet). I didn't see any Asus resellers listed for the VA/MD/DC area, and I've known these guys being in business for almost 8 years. Reliable, honest, and best price local or online. They're a not a small shop either, fairly big, great reputation (word of mouth) and is Asus certified. Will post pictures/review of the notebook when I get it!

If you're local and want to visit the store, they are on 822 south Pickett, Alexandria VA. Phone: (703) 370-7520. on the web: www.a2kpc.com.

another Asus reseller site.

Hi All, not trying to advertise on here, but please check www.excaliberpc.com, we have quite a few Asus Models that members can get some info from. The store will be on Asus Reseller list shortly and it is located in CA.

Here's our reseller rating
