The first high school in Arizona to drop textbooks for notebooks is Vail High School. Everyone will be using notebooks and everyone will be on wireless! The school has 350 students all of which will be issued these notebooks where they would normally be issued books.

There's a lot to think about with a move like this. Many would think the costs involved are just too much. It may not be as bad as it seems though because the notebooks to get the job done could easily be well under $1,000 each while text books run many hundreds of $ themselves. The learning material on the notebooks is updated on the fly while textbooks have to be turned in and exchanged to stay current which many subjects require often updating. Of course textbooks don't crash often and take a major beating while notebooks are going to require a higher level of responsibility.
