Hey

I have an NP5620 that still works great. I would like to swap the 40GB hard-drive for a 100GB (4200 or 5400 RPM )capacity. Does anyone know whether this model support hard-drive of this capacity?

Cheers

It should as long as the form factor is the same (normally are for laptops). The "point of problems" at at 160GB. Even then, Windows, can often overcome the hurdle.

Look at the Seagates. Also look at the warranty period for all drives that you are comparing. Even if the laptop becomes outdated, you can still salvage the HDD and put it into a relatively cheap (under $20) external USB enclosure - I have a couple that I purchased for less than $10 from Meritline many months ago (one of their specials) and they work fine for me and are really really compact.
