(See if Nike makes sneakers in your size with the flickering LEDs in them, too. )
There are many guys out there who are not smooth around women. I happen to be a natural flirt. That doesn't mean I'm going to look down on someone who isn't. You might not have the most athletic prowess or the ability to run 5-10 miles at a clip, should I look down on you for being different than myself in that department? And if you are/can do those things, I'm positive there are areas where you are not "God's gift".

Insult the original poster all you want, but you should be a little more aware that talent with seducing women is determined a lot more by the genetics and environment a kid grows up in, rather than how suave he is as an individual.

For the record, I'm willing to bet that you use methods to "bait" women as well, they just differ from using a shiny laptop to do it. Is it any different to use a flashy car or expensive clothing, as 99% of men do? Not in my book, it's just substituting one for another. If it works, it works. If that's the way you get women, then that's the way you choose to do it. My guess is, GB, that if a guy posted pictures of his Escalade or his Porsche and said it got all the ladies, you would be applauding him for it, because what, it's "less geeky" bait?

Luckily some of us (especially me) have a nice girl already so just the fact that I can play Battlefield 2 and postpone that research paper is bonus enough for me to have my XPS2. Screw small laptops.

Well thank you, very true post...Some of us aren't huge built guys and some of us are not natural flirst, we rely on other things to break the ice.

I haven't brought my XPS back to school as I just don't feel like unplugging it lol, plus im only in school 2 hours a day 3 times a week. Ill bring it back one of these days.

On the other side, using tools, methods, things to try and pick up girls is wasted effort in the long run. If that girl is persuaded by material things in the first place, IMO, that shows some what that her character is not all that great. I mean if you want a one night stand, showing off the best shit will do the trick. There are plenty of those girls out there. But if you want a girl for mroe than slappin, you better work hard for one. Too shy to talk? Can't break the ice? That is your problem but if you truly want a girl that is right for you, you better be willing to become vulnerable and humble. Sure you can talk about what is most comfortable for you and sure you can show off your laptop or whatever but in the end, you better have more than money.

And ain't that just priced for gullible girls...

my wife digs my xps 2. She thinks it's "pretty". Of course when I start focusing more on my laptop than her, well she's not down with that.
Soo here's a lesson: If you are able to get a girls attention, make HER the center of your attention, not your laptop.

I agree with most of what you said, but bear in mind that some men become absolutely tongue tied around a women. There is an inherent difference between using a laptop as a calming mechanism and overtly trying to get laid because of the fact that it's a nice notebook. If a female becomes interested in both him and happens to be a fan of computers, it gives him something to talk about without needing a sheet of scripted conversation dialogue.

The bottom line here is that the Dell Inspiron XPS2 does INDEED attract women, provided the owner doesn't just talk about computers once the prey-er, other gender approaches.

And ladies.... if you're using an XPS2 in public, some good advice: Invest in RAID gear. Tazer, helmet, huge plastic shield, the whole shebang. You'll need it.

They'll ask how fast your hard drive is and if your RAM is good.

Oh gedda grip, ya big cry baby. First of all, I was just kidding around. Secondly, I think you're probably lying about being a "natural flirt", as well as possessing the "athletic prowess or the ability to run 5-10 miles at a clip". -Either you're fulla shit, or you're incredibly insecure and felt the need to "insert in order to assert". I'll place my bet that you yourself have personal issues with "getting chicks" due in part to your lack of a sense of humor.
I was lucky enough to be "cute" and appealing to girls in highschool and in my young adulthood, but unlucky enough to cancel that out by suddenly flopping about on the floor with my eyes rolled up into the back of my head whilst shitting my pants in an epileptic fit. I spent what was supposed to be the best "girl-getting" fifteen years of my life completely intoxicated from Dilantin, Tegretol, and Phenobarbital, -and still having seizures!
I met my wife at 24, and we lived together for 8 years before we finally married. I had lived with 3 other women for about a year each, but didn't exactly get alot of dates.

-Oh, and I finally got my license when I was 31.

Sooooooo, maybe you should learn to laugh more and not make such a friggin "Here's Captain Feelings to the rescue!" crusade out of everything.
