How do the IBM 12" screens compare to the Dell and Sony?

I'm looking at the Sony 13.3" or Dell 12.1" WXGA for travel and initial Photoshop work. I like the Sony XBrite, and haven't seen the Dells.

Your best bet would be to go out and look for yourself. I checked out the IBM x40 and X32, but I don't own either of them.

The screens are essentially your typical LCD screen. It doesn't have that glossy look to it like the Sony XBrite, Fujistu, Sharp, and I think the Dell 700m...

They are however decently bright, but not a sleek as the Sony.

The dell 700m and sony xbrite are nicer, in my opinion.

The ibm is fine, and is a good, normal screen. But I think the new glossy ones are better. The 700m screen is very nice; I was very impressed when I saw it. It's partially preference, though.

Yeah theres nothing special about IBM laptop screens they basically aim for what apple aims for which is reliable screens with no frills.
