i9300 making hand numb, return after 21 days?

Thread Starter
I've had the i9300 for 2-3 months now and as of a few weeks ago my left hand is becoming very numb for long periods of time when I use the laptop. Occasionally my right hand, I assume that's because it's only on the laptop for a small amount of time as it uses the mouse mainly.

I think the fact that my left hand is resting on the laptop is causing it to, well... screw up. I am also becoming sometimes dizzy when I stand up and one time I was unable to see properly for most of an evening. I think this is all due to the laptop, as I did not have these problems before I bought one. I probably spend less time now on this laptop than on my old desktop. I have trouble looking at white backgrounds on this system also.

Would it be possible to get a refund from Dell for these reasons? And purchase a different laptop, with a different chassis, screen and different stuff inside? It also gets VERY VERY VERY VERY hot. Hotter than I think it should.

Thanks.

What do you mean? What exactly is making it numb?

If you are past 21 days, you are stuck with it. You can sell it on Ebay, if you cannot deal with it. Mine does not get hot. Sometimes when gaming the door over the memory gets warm.

If I were having these kinds of problems I would make an appointment to see a Doctor.

You're right! I could not understand how could working on a laptop for a certain amount of time would make you light headed and numb.

I use one of these.

Targus PA243U Notebook Portable LapDeskâ„¢

Fold it into a wedge and it places the notebook at an angle so the edge is not pressing so hard on your wrists.

Also when folded and at an angle, there is alot more room for air. So the system runs much cooler.

Seeing a doctor for the dissy thing would be in order as well.

If you think it's physical contact with the laptop itself that's causing the problems, you could always get an external keyboard and moouse and never have to touch the laptop itself...

Has your diet changed recently? The fact that you're getting dizzy when you get up is mainly because you're lacking air or you get up too fast and you get dizzy. I suggest talking to a doctor, the laptop is just an excuse, get the doctor to help you.

Those are some pretty serious problems from just laptop usage. Either way, I wouldn't just leave my left hand idling on top of the laptop keyboard while you are using your right hand to use to mouse, unless you are playing some FPS games.

I also get dizzy and my vision goes black when i get up too fast, wether i'm lying down watching tv or just sitting sometimes. I asked a doctor why this happened cause i was a couple of times close to falling down cause i couldn't see and was dizzy when i got up that fast.

So the doctor said it was perfectly normal if you got my height (1.89m, 74.5") it was because my blood pressure has to adjust very fast when i get up fast, and so my eyes blood pressure and such causes the blackness.
