9300 speaker buzz?

My new i9300 seems to get buzzy and distort when its not even half way turned up, so its not like its loud. Does anyone else have this problem or do I have a bad chassis, speakers, or loose speakers?

It could be any of those issues you listed. My speakers sound fine. No distortions.

Yeah I get that too, only out of the right speaker though.

nope no noise out of mine sounds like a ground issue or problem with onboard audio.

I was just about to post that I had the same problem, then I noticed my subwoofer was facing a piece of the newspaper...and that was buzzing, not my speakers. The more you know.

@OP: Are you sure that your AC outlet is grounded? Maybe you should test it. Or does it also BUZZ on battery power?

I think Odious is onto something. Still, it could be a mechanical problem too--either a blown speaker or a loose speaker mount.

Well I thought I had a problem too, I had a bunch of popping and snapping sounds when playing audio, turned out it only happens when the processor is in power saving mode running at 800MHz rather than 2.1GHz. But yours does sound like more of a hardware problem.

Have you tried reducing the woofer volume? I can play my 9200 at full volume without distortion only if the subwoofer is down about 15%. The decrease in overall volume is minimal.

At the very least, you could try to isolate whether it's the speaker or another cause (if they all buzz).

I'm getting a bad tinny, buzzing sound coming from speakers when any audio is playing also. Doesn't happen when external speakers are connected. I've contacted Dell support.
