I just got it today. It was about $35 shipped via 2-day.
I'm pretty disappointed with it. I think the only positive things about it are the fact that its thinner than I thought it would be, its quiet, its light.
I feel the build quality is low since it doesn't feel sturdy and its made out of plastic... but then again, maybe that's why its light.
There doesn't appear to be any adjustments, and it doesn't have a built-in USB hub (check the LapCool2 for that).
In my testing, it doesn't do too much for the laptop temperature, but it should keep your lap cooler.
My primary reason for purchasing it was because it was a rear-exhaust unit. I wanted to use the laptop on a bed or another surface where it wouldn't get good ventilation. I suppose it fills this requirement.
The fans suck from the surface (bottom of laptop) and blow out the rear. This may be a problem since my laptop sucks from the bottom and blows out the rear. My guess is that a low-pressure area is created under the laptop and the laptop won't be able to suck in air to cool the CPU/GPU as easilly. This may or may not be a problem. Chances are, I could open up the unit and swap the polarity on the fans to change this.
I'll have a little more info later when I get a chance to try the laptop out on a surface that doesn't get good airflow.
