NOTE: This method will work for "ALL" nvidia GO video card, including 6800 and 6200 series.

WHERE TO GET NVIDIA DRIVERS

How To Install
*********************************************
1) Download the nvidia driver
2) Extract it to a directory

3a) download the latest INF file from http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/ and save it
to the same directory you had extracted earlier.

-OR-

3b) Use the NVAM.INF file that came with the original Asus Z71V display driver. You could download
it from http://support.asus.com and extract out the NVAM.INF from there. (There is one attached in this thread if you need one). Use method "3b" if you use Asus Z71V, else use method "3a" above.

4) Right click on the desktop and go to properties. This will take you
to the display control panel.
5) Click on the settings tab
6) Click on Advanced button
7) Click on Adapter tab
8) Click on Properties button
9) Click on Driver tab
10) Click on Update Driver button
11) Click on "No, Not this time" when asked "Can Windows Connect To Windows Update..."
12) Click on "Install from a list or specific location"
13) Click on "Don't Search, I will choose the driver to install"
14) Click on "Have Disk"
15) Browse to the location where you had saved the INF file earlier
16) Select the video card from the list, in Asus Z71V case it is nVidia GeForce Go 6600
17) Continue with install...

*USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!*

Hi,

For some reason I found I had to install "coolbits2" before the settings available on the video card increased. Before then, the driver was updated but I didn't get the extra features available in the control panel.
