Official Clevo D900K Countdown Thread

Thread Starter
Since this is the next big laptop to be released by Clevo, figured it could use a countdown thread. (Please note this applies to all companies currently listing the Clevo D900K or that will list it in the future.)

Current ETA:

On 7/12/2005 to 7/13/2005 Clevo R&D Team VP was in the Sager offices, and the most updated D900K details were given by the R&D VP.

The D900K is still in DVT(Design Verification Testing, meaning it’s still in the R&D Stage and if there are issues it will be changed) D03 phase:
Current ETA of DVT phase completing is 8/16/2005.

After DVT D03 phase the unit will pass on to the next phase PVT(Product Verification Testing, this is when the design has been finalized and debugging starts.).
The PVT D04 phrase will run with the current ETA of completing date is 9/20/2005

As of now the D900K will not start shipping until after 9/20/2005.

So with the unit still in the early stages, Sager believes its premature to post any spec, open preorders, or give the unit an official Sager Model Number at this time.

Since this notebook still hasn't past testing there is no estimated price.

@Luke

Is it possible for you to find out which chipset (VIA K8T890 or another) Clevo is currently using for their D900K samples?

Thank you.

I believe that is what is currently being used, but as stated the specs are still subject to change.

Depends if someone at the office wants it... if not it will most likely go to the highest bidder on the forums, maybe i'll autograph it.

Back On Topic boys.

Luke I see you've gotten tired of answering all those D900K threads. This'll keep them buzy for a while.

Personally, I think all D900K threads should be consolidated into this one.

One thing that I've noticed, although I'm sure it must be wrong, is that the D900K seems to show a maximum of 1GB of RAM. Did I miss something?

Let the rampant speculation begin!!!!!!!

i believe the coffeeshark has reserved this one after the office jokers realize that Luke took this bad boy home in his Pinto every day, careening through the streets as the laptop slid around in the back seat, crashing off the doors and becoming airborne repeatedly until he screeches to a halt in front of the bungalow.
