Official Clevo D900K Countdown Thread - Page 13

I agree. I have a 34 inch no gloss flat dell lcd monitor and my laptops glossy screen is better. For some reason it seems better on the eyes may be cause we are used to normal crt monitors. It is no more glossy then a crt monitor. Believe it or not I haven’t used the 34inch in over a month. The laptops glossy screen just looks better. Any one wont to buy a 2 months new 34inch dell lcd monitor? LOL

I work a lot with colors in Photoshop and with rendering software. As most know, laptops are not very good for color representation. Can I expect much improvement with the glossy screen?

Both my 34inch and my laptop are a native 1920 x 1200. .I believes both have the 3 mil pixel. Except the laptop is a 17inch screen so the pixels are smaller. This is what I believe makes it easier to see and does not heart my eyes. Though the big screen is easer to see for some things. The little screen does not heart my eyes when watching dvd’s . PLUS THE LAPTOP HAS BETTER COLOR. Much more realistic. The small screen you have to view close up. I mean 12 to 4 inches some times for reading. They both have there good points. Just next time my big screen will be glossy with "better color reproduction" ! I think that would make it an equal . Every thing has a tan tint on the big monitor. When the laptop has a perfect color. And I mean perfect. I do have the dell xps gen2 read the reviews they have the best screens out. Even the reviews show there large model lcd monitor has the tan tint. Horrible for dvd’s . I need power from the dual core laptop soon to be released. On the other hand my 22 inch Sony flat screens crt I think is the best it also had a native 1920 x 1200. I gave the sonys away to big and bulky at 98 pounds each

oops sorry it's a dell 24 inch lcd.
The 24 inch dell. If it weren’t for the tan tint in every thing and it does not seem as sharp as my laptop. this one Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW 24-inch Wide Aspect Flat Panel LCD Monitor

In order to get the ADP from us you need to have purchased a unit from us. My guess you reasoning behind not wanting to is that you are located in TX, am I correct in assuming that?

Ehh... Sager is normally about 50-100 dollars more that on all configs. Sager allows their resellers to sell at a lower cost then them. Even if they were cheaper, we price match any Sager notebook vedors(Sager included).

*edit - Hay weight i be in teXas.. wat yoos tryin' to say bout usins

At least we Texans know how to compare two numbers. PC Torque has been less than Sager every time I've checked.

P.S.

Luke, you may find this helpful now that you have relocated.
http://austin.about.com/cs/talktexan/ht/talk_texan.htm

Now tell Sager to hit the "Go Faster" button for the D900K production line.

ha...that's pretty good...

me thinks sager is going as fast as they can, give them time to get it right, i'm sure you don't want a RMA on your d900k cause they missed something in testing and rushed it...

Is the D900K with Sager, and others, or is it still with Clevo? I thought the PVT D04 Phase at Cleveo was not to be completed and shipped to Sager until 09/20/05.

THEN, Sager will do their thing and begin marketing...after 09/20/05, if all goes well. Anxious like the rest of you, but trying to be a realist! If I were a betting man, I'd say buyers won't be RECEIVING the D900K until November.

NO dont say that Rockwood, we need to receive it by Oct 28 (when my fiance leaves to meet me in Italy!) so it doesnt have to be mailed military to Iraq for me!!! hehe
