hope the bug can be fixed soon if it isn't already.
I think it is because of Cool n Quiet . The cores run on lower frequency at Idle operation. So IMO the screenshot is correct.

But is Windows XP Home capable to operate with dual core or dual processors systems? Isn't it limited to one core/processor operation?

I'm sure it can use both cores as Microsoft recently issued a KB about notebooks that use dual cores (which is strange as this is the only one).
(maybe they have test yonah units?, or clevo contacted them?)

My Athlon 64 CPU always displays the wrong processor speed, so I wouldn't worry about compatibility very much.

lol and its still not here, sounds like a paper launch to me

It's still november, the latest I've read is preorders in early december, shipping mid december.

Hope this helps lighten the wait

PS I know the speed of processor is not showing correctly - but it is a 4800+ but I imagine it's just another of those bugs that need to be worked on before the machine is released.

enjoy

Now if they could just get everything to work... thus far we have declined any sort of demo model until a fully working one is released.

I assumed at this point they were down to bios tinkering. Do you know what they're still working on Luke?

The latest I have been told is that all the major issues have been sorted here is a quote from the thread regarding this machine on their forum "it's pretty much up and running so we're mainly just waiting on the stock now"

This to me sounds like there are a couple of small minor issues but they should be fixed by the time the stock arrives.

so here's to hoping

Sigh i wish that were only true, there are still a few major bugs to be dealt with. I am not at liberty to release any info other than that

...great. Sounds like, yet, another delay.

They're probably a little closer at least. Alienware lowered the delay on their similar system from 56 days to 35 days today.

Yeah, noticed that too. They also eliminated the delay time on all their procs, too!

Go figure, Alienware just updated again. Now AMD laptops ordered today are expected to ship Jan. 2. They eliminated the RAM delay. The longest delay is now 26 days (for selecting an LCD display).

LCDs ship separately?

I wonder if these bugs are more windows related than hardware. Windows reporting the wrong mhz isn't anything new. I wonder how serious the 'other' bugs are. I read way too many 9880 meltdown threads here- if they still have cooling issues with the 9750 at this point it may be a lost cause. With that said, i'm happy they are taking the time to get things right.

BTW, why can't they release a 5720 Turion too? There's virtually no AMD Sager laptops to choose from.

Hyper must be on track because I have a shipdate of Dec 8th and they just would not lie to me. Computer companies are honest as can be just like your Grandmother . . .

I called Hypersonic about my order status, and the girl had to put me on hold, after I gave my order number, and then she just stated that "Its slated to ship 12/17". Nothing other then that. I will be very surprised if I see it this year.
