How does gaming in WXGA res. look on the Acer Ferrari 4000 WSXGA+ screen? Does it scale well or does it look blurry and unclear so to speak compaird to a native WXGA screen?

IMHO... is does not look blurry or stretched or anything... who knows maybe it is and I'm blind... but I really don't see it at all... just tested HL2 in 1680 x 1050 then switch to 1152 x 864 and 1280 x 1024 and they all looked the same except for the res changes... but you'll want some more opinions

Thanks, that is good info.

The ferrari's screen is perfect. It has not issues with bluryness or ghosting while playing games. Everything scales awsome and with the high defintion screen it makes the games look extra crsip and clear.

Yes I have heard that the screen is 16ms even. But is this only true for the 4002 or does the 4005 have this super fast response rate aswell?

As long as you set the game's resolution to a widescreen format (16:9), you'll be fine. Keep in mind, though... putting it in 1024x768 won't magically make it widescreen. You'll have to switch it to a widescreen-compatible resolution, like 1280x800 or similar. Fortunately, I'm hoping more games support widescreen by default. In GTA: San Andreas, you can set a regular resolution (1024x768) and then select widescreen--and it automatically scales it.

Yes I'm just wondering because I'm done waiting for the ms-1029 that still hasn't come and now concidering the faster Ferrari 4005wlmi, it's going to be alittle more $$$ though.
