Overclocking and GPU temperature.

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I have searched over the forum and can't find a clear clear answer to my question. If its here, I apologize. I just recently installed the 77.50 firmware from nVidia and clocked to 350/735 just to see my performance increase. I have been using the laptop almost all day for gaming and I suspect my high temp of 71C has something to do with it. I am hoping this overclock would be stable and LOWER wen I havent used my PC so much. nVidia reccomended higher even, but I decided to go lower, so I am at a loss for why the heat gets so hot on the GPU

Background info aside, I am wondering, at about what degree Celcius should I begin to worry about the safety of my GPU??

Thanks!

Your worried about 71*?

Good to hear sho.
Any reboot problems? Not all reboot problems come from the hardware.

Well, I don't know any specifics about your card, but going over 100*C is where you definitely will begin to worry. Obviously, the cooler you can get it, the better it is for performance and life.
