memoryexpress has them and they are a pretty good place, especially if you are in alberta. they have a store where i am and i have never had trouble when i have bought from them. granted i am a walk in customer not a online order so it might be different but they could be good.

i'm thinking of getting my 4005 at the tigerdirect store, I know someone who has bought tons of laptops from the store and hasn't had a problem yet.

So i'm wishing everything goes smooth.

Make sure you go to www.resellerratings.com and post your experience with tiger direct. They are a garbage company- your case isn't uncommon- and people deserve to know about them.

Wow thats one of the worst rated companies I have ever seen on resellerratings.com in terms of customer service and returns, and it is piss poor overall. Please do post your experience to help warn people, and I definitely recommend using the site to check places in the future. It has always been extremely useful and accurate in my research. (thats one of the reasons i ordered a laptop from powernotebooks, they have one of the best ratings on the entire site)

Regular tigerdirect or tigerdirect.ca? Because tigerdirect.ca's ratings are abysmal.

nice link except it doesnt have canadian companies listed.... tigerdirect.ca is abysmal and i would never deal with them personally. anyone who gets a rating like that has earned it.

Use PriceNetwork for Canadian companies only...

If you live in BC go with NCIX or Anitec... both have worked well for me in the past. For the east.... maybe Genitech Computers ... i ordered a mouse, mousepad, and a couple other things from there and it worked out great...

my experience with tigerdirect.ca was ok... I ordered a TurtleBeach audio card... no problems... got it within a week or two... but I have head terrible things about them.

I've also had a few good experiences with Tigerdirect.ca, including ordering an MX3100 duo, a four-to-six-pin Firewire adapter, a Pinnacle Movie Box, and more. I guess that they do small stuff okay, but they screw people on expensive items.

Tigerdirect is a questionable organization.....their retail outlet is right around the corner from my office.

I'll occasionally buy stuff from them walk-in, but never online.

For notebook sales in Canada, you can try Compusmart (walk-in purchase; they carry the Ferrari 4000), or NotebookOutlet.ca. I haven't dealt with the latter, but they seem to carry the Acer Ferrari 4000 in stock.

Prices are generally better than Compusmart's as well (who are usually high priced).
