I have a z70V and it will go into hibernation fine...but when i try to turn it back on...it will go through that black and white RESUMING WINDOWS screen and just hang once it reaches the end of the progress bar... I have tried all kinds of things and I cant get it to NOT lock up at the end... any ideas? I have the latest bios and I tried not using a USB mouse, and turning off fast user switching and uninstalling the synaptics software as well as reinstalling windows. I think it is a software issue but I cant seem to pinpoint it. If I remember correctly, when i first loaded windows the day I got it it went into hibernation just fine and I had no problems but now when I try I cant get it to work for the life of me. PLEASE HELP I would really like to get hibernation to work.
