hrmm, if I had a digital camera, my setup would be (picture this... it's gonig to be liek a book; yes, I know using your minds and being creative is so last century ):

The shot starts on the left hand side of a wooden desk-- about four and a half feet long and 3 feet wide-- panning out. The first thing you see is a a Dell Latitude d610 (closed of course) connected to a D/Port Advanced port replicator (oh so sweet). As the shot of the desk pans out a black box and silver two-toned box appears in the right hand corner of the picture...wait, what's this...a speaker? Yes, it's a speaker; an Altec Lansing speaker (I have the same speakers as spotdog...so reference those pictures, lol)! As it pans out further a monstrous box fills the screen...wait, that's no ordinary box; it's a Dell 1905fp UltraSharp 800:1 contrast ratio, 19", 20mx response time, 8-bit panel flat panel LCD monitor (choirs of angels start to sing). At the same time,a white logitech keyboard comes into the picture. And finally, the shot pans out a bit further, only to reveal the second Altec Lansing speaker, a white, logitech, optical scroll mouse, and a subwoofer underneath the desk.

This has been another episode of werD's System setup...thank you for tuning in, and good night :-)

P.S. I also highly recommend the speakers I and spotdog have-- they were about 50 bucks two years ago, and sound uber sweet!!

(oh yeah, my setup cost [all brand new]:

Lappy: ~$1380
19" LCD Monitor: $279
D/Port Advanced Port Replicator: $100
Printer [which I don't even have setup]: free from Dell, lol
Keyboard and mouse:... I stole my dad's, lol)

Not really, well besides the Alienware laptop, the rest have cost under $900 to build. The server is just an old AMD Athlon 2000+, it was top of the line back in teh day, but i still didnt pay much for it. The Alienware BOT i got around xmas with the deals, it was like $500ish. And the Asus S5n is like $1,300 (worth every penny too!).

The rest of the stuff i have had just left over from other computers, like the big 21 inch monitor came with a deal from gateway back in 1998, it was basically free after rebates. The Samsung LCD was an xmas present from my dad. The old gateway solo notebook is a retired coporate machine, i got for free.

I've got those same Altec Lansing speakers - just 5.1

Tvtuner, CD/DVDs, and secondary monitor

Samsung SyncMaster 172x

Dell iXPS2
