Best Wireless Notebook Mouse ?

Thread Starter
Looking for the very small kind of travel notebook mouse.
Im trying out a creative one right now but it doesnt seem to work as well as the blue tooth one on my desktop.
I havent tried the bluetooth on my lappy.
Looking to spend about $60 max but want the best for my money.
ALSO looking for a little pad that would stick on the space below the keyboard and to the right of the touch pad so i can use the mouse in that space without scratching it.
Im using this for air travel so i wont have space to the side of me to put any mouse.
It will have to be on the machine itself.
Anyone have any ideas ?

Have you looked at the microsoft notebook mouse? It's fairly small but the batteries last forever. I am going on 2 months on the original battery.
The only downside to the mouse is the lack of a 4th button and it doesnt like reflective surfaces that much.
It ran $29 at staples.

I was thinking about that one.
Is that the blue one ?
Also wondering if they do a blue tooth version.
Not sure if its the way this creative one is set up but it just doesnt seem to work very well
maybe i need to adjust it

They make them in metalic blue and metalic black. If they made one in a bluetooth version I would have bought it. I hate dongles.

I am something of a mouse addict, and have tried hundreds of them over the years. My current favorite portable is the Logitech V200 wireless notebook mouse. it is 2.4 GHz, instead of infrared or bluetooth, very precise, the dongle attaches to the mouse for easy portability, and it works on the arm of my recliner perfectly.

I really like my Kensington PilotMouse Bluetooth Mini It's very comfortable... It has a rubber-like covering that's easy to grip, an on/off switch so you know it won't accidently run down the batteries when it's packed, etc. and it has a 65 ft range lol if you need it for presentations...

Overall I like Kensington stuff... Their Contour BP is great and I have the USB Numpad calculator and the Flylight so I can see the keyboard in the dark... lol Dell puts a ton of LED's on the XPS but not ONE (like ThinkPads) to light the keyboard...

I have tried a few of the smaller wireless mouses and find most dont work well or work ok but the battery life is so poor they dont work well when the battery gets weak and they do eat up batteries pretty quick.I purchased the MX 750 made by logitech and this is by far the best mouse i have ever owned.I game a lot and it doesnt miss a lick and when the batteries get low You just stick it in the charging cradel.I use my computer all day and just put it in the chargeing cradle at night and i have never had to charge it in the middle of the day and as mentioned i game a lot.Logitech has two newer ones out the MX 1000 and the MX 900 bluetooth which are supposed to be better but for me the MX 750 is awsome and i am compleatly happy with it so i have no reason to even considering anyother at this time. The only thin is you mentioned you were looking for a small or mini mouse where this is a regular size but i dont mind the size because of the performence of this mouse.

to add to my previous post, i really like that both the Kensington mini and regular Bluetooth mouse use AA's so there's never a problem gettin' power... i use a lotta recharagle AA's and i use a fast but cool charger that barely heats them so they last much longer... most fast and/or built-in chargers get them too hot which kills em... if you want industrial quality batteries and a great charger chk this out..
