DELL Coupon Thread - Page 31

Roofus,

Take out the Bluetooth card, x1400 Video, and 100gig HD from your config. You can get the price down quite a bit. Then get the Bluetooth and Go7800 cards from Dell Spare Parts and the 100gig HD from ZipZoom or Newegg. You'll save about 200$ atleast going that route.

Huh??? Take out the ATI video card from config??? You mean get the integrated??? Then how is he gonna upgrade to a dedicated graphics card??? I may be wrong but I thought the E1705, like the 9300, has different mobo for integrated graphics & dedicated graphics???

Jax, that would cost me bundles more. That take the computer down into the lower coupon bracket. It takes the price down to around $1,350. I checked the price of the BT card and 7800Go from Dell, which was $100 and $599 respectively. And the HDD from newegg, which was the cheapest of the two you mentioned, was $135. Giving me a grand total of $2,183 before tax (FL). That would be almost the same price the rep offered me on an XPS since I couldn't get the vid card I wanted in the E1705.

I just am gonna wait a few weeks and see what happens. My 9100 has a damaged ram slot, and a CD drive that won't burn. Really, irritating headaches for me enough to sell it and buy a new machine. But not bad enough to cause me not to be patient and see if they respond to this obvious joke of a vid card available now.

You have listed that the above coupons work only for select notebooks. do you know if any of them work for the 6000?

The first one is for 710m, the other two are for other model groups. I can't remember exactly what ones, but I entered them all in and they were for various models.
sorry, i just post em when I get them via e-mail
post #610 of 1715
What are the price requirements for those coupons?
Nevermind, I see you don't have to enter it. It's just automatic. They simply jacked up the prices to make up for it. The lowest you can go on a 700m is $857, which is slightly faster than my one-year-old 700m but with a smaller HDD.

finally good coupons, and dell does what? raise prices to reflect coupon discount, annoying!

edit: funny how the upgrade on a 9400 for the t2500 was about 200 yesterday, now its 350!!!! good lord.
That is true chevy.

This is why the best deals are inadvertant coupon exploits and coupon stacks. Other than this... the only good single coupon deal in history was the old 750$ off 1499$ deal at the beginning of last summer.

Remember that you can go to eBay and get 35$ off Big Bucks coupons that will stack with these regular coupons to save you just a lil more on system purchases. It'll cover the 24$ shipping and 11$ worth of taxes atleast. =)

New Coupons?

Latest coupons ($750 off) have reached their max usage... anyone have something else they are not using?
is the $750 coupon worth it? or should i wait for summer and get the E1705 fully loaded, will they have the 7800go by then?
Sooner, the beginning of Spring/Summer is the slowest time in CE/Computer purchases - so Dell will likely have a wave of good coupons at that time like they did last year. As for the Go7800 being available again, not likely. Once Dell runs short on a part they make do until a newer part becomes available.

If a Go7900 vanilla is made available by Nvidia and Foxconn, Dell might go to such a replacement in the 9400.
if Dell doesnt get any go7800 by the summer where can i get the 7800 from? for a good price? or should i goto a different company for the laptop? alienware to pricey for me. will Dell put the Go 7800 GTX in the 9400s/E1705?
