No matter how tempting the ability to change the core voltage is DO NOT DO IT! Or else you will risk a bad flash as I have done, and have the most expensive 7.8 pound paper weight in the world.

It didn't support mobile cards, why did you use it?

reaver sorry for your laptop but that's what's need to be done to discover new horizons hehe ;-)

now fry the notebook so it's completely dead and send it to dell saying dunno what's happened... just fry it gently and with finesse, no burned circuits ;-)

Am i missing something here? I thought Reaver just needed someone to help him blind flash to "original" video BIOS

Edit: Nvm, i see another post detailing the problems now

Yeah it didn't officially support mobile cards, but then again neither does nvflash. Besides the checksum worked out and I had an emergency flash disk, but I don't think the laptop is POSTing. I already have my replacement on the way.

"I don't know what happened, I just woke the laptop from standby and the screen was blank, the lights on the keyboard were flashing but nothing on the display ... I think that there thing that makes them movie pictures on the screen must be broken So if you send me part # W5373 I can install it."

I just realized, if I 'fry' my mobo, Dell could in fact assemble a laptop from the parts I have returned.

Reaver you should be nominated for the NOTW award for posting the same message 3 times.

I would like to have a group nbf's minute of silence for the late Reaver's Geforce Go 6800, he was a spunky little card, he tried hard to provide enough FPS for his family, it just wasnt enough for his controlling faszha, and the silence starts now..........

Damn Celery Desktop! It's like watching a really slow slideshow on a monitor, that you have little control over.

Thanks, and of course I timed ruining my laptop perfectly, what with me having a 9 hour drive to NYC today. Oh, well Dell incompetence to the rescue!

I hope your new Go6800 is just as clockable as your old.

I was asked why I was returning my PC I wasn't going to say "oh ya you guys came out with the 35% off" So I just said it was freezing a lot.

Reaver did you use the bios modifier version 3.12 from guru3d or was it a diff one?just asking cos I am trying to get 1 of the EMR notebook techs at work to try modding and flashing a bios on a system in production to see what happens and if this was the tool you used I better put a hold on the idea
