Exactly the kind of thing I was worried about.

Come on sager I know it sucks that your new system has a flaw but do the right thing-please. We all spent alot of money in good faith.

Aaronmc, you are confusing yourself. UXGA refers to the number of pixels on the screen - 1600x1200. Meanwhile, what you are noticing is that the screen is not wide-viewing-angle. That is a different thing, though nontheless extremely annoying. I have no idea why they sent you a non-wide-angles one.

Meanwhile, check if it is UXGA or not by switiching your screen mode to 1600x1200 and seeing if it "crops" the screen and lets you move the viewable area with the mouse. If it does that, you have something other than UXGA. If it fits everything and everything is nice and sharp, youve got a UXGA.

well i thought uxga was ultra wide viewing angles, and high pixles, but bah, it looks blocky on certain things, and actually everything doesnt look as good, i compared the 2 and this one was not near as clear either, so it might not be uxga or it might be, but it still doesnt do the ultra wide angles, which i paid 83 bucks for, and i hope i dont have to pay the shipping to them and do it again when the other other arrives, because i cant get a job because of my accident a few months ago, and i cant afford to pay for it when i also need to be buying a car, the only reason i have a sager is because my other notebook was damaged in the wreck and i got cash for it.

got it back

I got my laptop back from Sager and have to say that they did a great job. My many thanks to the folks who took such good care of the laptop. They have repaired the network problem I was having and installed the bluetooth and wireless modules. So far everything has worked flawlessly and I received it on Friday. I was disappointed I had to RMA it but I'm not disappointed in the response from Sager support. They always returned my request for call backs and took care of my stupid questions. Those of you who have gotten unlucky and have the same motherboard problem I had with your NIC should not be at all worried about sending it in. Sager took care of it better then I could have hoped for. THANK YOU SAGER!

the one thing that sucks about this situation, is that it should have been found in manufacturing, both of the problems, when they were testing it, if not they should start testing a little longer, i wouldnt have minded waiting for a little while longer to get a computer with no problems at all. also the fact that i have to pay shipping on BOTH units bothers me, but there is nothing i can do, the manager was supposed to call me last wednesday within an hour of the other call they made , but i havent recieved any calls from them and its been over a week.
