IBM Thinkpad 600X does not work!

When I boot it says error and gives a restart option! What do I do? Its a friend's laptop!

It says "ERROR 08611" and an option OK and an option RESTART. OK option kills it, and RESTART restarts it.

Had the same problem; you just need to replace the keyboard.
