Driver for 8890??

well, my 8890 recently bombed out and i had to do a format and restore. all went well and is in great working order now except for 1 driver. its pissing me off.... windows can't find an "SM Bus Controller" driver. i tryed searching with no luck.... anyone have any idea where i would be able to find this driver for my 8890... thanks.

Do you have XP with SP1 on the CD? (i.e. from Sager) or is it a pre-SP1 cd?

I think that's for the card reader (but I thought the 8890 dropped the memory stick reader)...

it has sp1 on the cd.

and you are experiencing the Device Manager reported error:

?SM Bus Controller

Then go to the website below and download the file called:

INF Update Utility [INFINST.EXE]

Before you install it do the following:

SET A RESTORE POINT in XP/2000/ME or backup your system JUST IN CASE!!!!! better safe than sorry.

Problem should be solved after restart.
