This'll be tough... definately under $500. The only thing I saw that I liked was the HD... the rest is fodder (for me). Still, it won't hurt to ask $350 or so. Most people don't want to price things out like this because the potential seller usually gets upset when REALLY low numbers come in.

Here's a good experiment for you: SEARCH for used computers around your area (newspaper ads, 'net, etc) - heck, even try eBay. See what the ballparks are. Often they'll be high and not sell, but what the heck.

Another fun thing is to price out a decent custom-built system. Most guys can do this for $500 (I know I can) and that's NEW. Not top-of-the-line or cutting edge, but at least as powerful as your system listed.

I have an AMD 2100+ system that was a joy to build. All tricked out, etc. But I know it's not worth the price of scrap right now. So I will probably give it away in my personal "chain of hand-me-downs" that I've cultivated over the years.

yeah ebay seems to be overpriced but if you stick on the words LIKE ALIENWARe it seems to sell like a hotcake lol. i figured i wouldn't get over 500 for it but what the heck

i bet you could get about 800 for it.

expecially if you put some benchmarks up and emphasized the ram (that is pretty good ram pc2700) and the 4200 can play anygame out right now full settings. also you could try to pawn that off on ebay as an "alienware LIKE" and people would pay for it.

but yea, like i said, about 800 off of ebay, but if you tried selling it to anyone on forums you wouldn't get more than 600 (i priced out almost the exact same system last night with a 2.8 800 mhz fsb for $650) from anyone with half a brain.

good lucky with it tho.

i might take it for 500 (like mykrat said)...but give me time to think about it. that's the max i can offer if i want to be able to buy a moniter, kb/mouse, and networking stuff as well.

yea, you probably will get 900 off of ebay if you make the description right, and put it in the right places. good luck with it.

Yeah, the key is to find a chump to sell it to; THEN you can raise the price .
